About The Role

The role will involve leading, managing, executing and driving forward the day-to-day cybersecurity marketing programmes to deliver high quality pipeline and other associated business deliverables in the UK and in market locations where there is no current marketing function. You will work closely with group marketing teams and security sales specialists to drive awareness and marketing leads across the group. They will appreciate the need to consider cross business unit propositions in the development of cybersecurity propositions and campaigns.

          Collaboration with Cybersecurity business leaders

  • You will lead the creation of marketing programmes in discussions with directors and other senior stakeholders in our Cybersecurity business unts.
  • Establish relationships and understanding of marketing and brand strategy in markets outside the UK where required.
  • Ensure all material is in line with the overarching Claranet Cyber Security brand.

    Programme management

  • You will lead the planning, management, budgeting and execution of annual Marketing programmes and associated campaigns with a focus on driving new logo and existing customer business. Campaigns will include events, webinars and digital campaign activity both with marketing partners and independently.
  • You will create account-based marketing, vertical and service promotion programmes that deliver the right quantity/quality of leads in to the Claranet group customer sales teams where applicable.

    Campaign development and team work

  • You will create campaigns for the Security BU, working with colleagues in the UK and group to create a documented best practice approach to target market identification and development.
  • You will work closely with other Group Marketing Managers to achieve efficiencies by sharing best practice, promote and encourage adoption of campaigns
  • You will work closely with the BU leaders, trainers and security sales team and directly with customers and prospects to uncover insight that will drive content development.
  • You will work closely with the security sales specialists to develop programmes to retain and develop existing customer accounts.
  • You will work with sales leaders and teams to ensure campaign and lead data is managed appropriately to enable effective marketing activities and measurement

    Managing partners and suppliers

  • Lead the marketing relationship with security technology partners as required, including WatchGuard, Checkpoint and Alien Vault etc.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure value for money and the most cost-effective methods and media channels are utilised to achieve business goals

    Continuous improvement

  • Produce analysis of marketing results.
  • Continually test, ensure lessons are learned and improvement actions taken after each campaign
  • Continually look to improve Marketing processes and campaign effectiveness across the group, including use of data

 

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience of Marketing management within the technology/managed services market with at least a strong understanding of Cybersecurity services
  • Ability to understand the customer’s needs and issues, and align Claranet services and solutions to address this
  • A deep understanding of Claranet’s target markets and the range of products available to our customers
  • Experienced in supporting sales processes and working with senior sales professionals to understand their strategy and shape marketing campaigns that align to them
  • Highly organised with outstanding time management, project and events management skills
  • Excellent leadership, influencing skills and demonstrable attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative and innovative approach and proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals including those from technical, operations and sales teams.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline

Desirable

  • International marketing leadership experience particularly including the US market
  • Proven track record in leading Marketing programmes in fast moving and complex matrixed international organisation
  • First-hand experience in marketing for cloud, network and unified communications managed and professional services

We do this through close collaboration, particularly with Sales and HR teams, but also across all business units and the wider Claranet Group.

The Marketing Business Partner - Cybersecurity, will work with all members of the UK Security BU (Sec-1), NotSoSecure (NSS), Claranet Group and UK Security sales specialists and marketing teams under the Claranet Cyber Security brand, working closely with multiple groups of stakeholders, on both a tactical and strategic level. This management role currently has one direct report Graduate Marketing Assistant. You will lead, identify, scope, develop and project manage marketing programmes to help build a presence and pipeline and profitability across the Claranet Group. Assisting in determining strategic priorities, they will generate options to achieve a long-range goals and the deployment of go-to-market Security BU plans across the group.

In close collaboration with team members in the UK based marketing team, they will develop brand messaging, build, and create the marketing programmes but also working closely with other Marketing Managers across the group to champion and repurpose campaigns.  This Marketing Business Partner will be responsible for Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) in relation to existing customer cybersecurity sales and new logo in the UK and US.
