Team
The Cloud Practice is the team that builds large infrastructure for a wide-ranging and diverse set of customers. We help them choose the right tools and services, build highly-scalable secure infrastructure and help them manage the maintenance of those environments. We come up with creative solutions to difficult problems and every engineer gets to have a large direct impact on each of those customers.
The team is made up of engineers from all around the country in distributed teams. You can work fully remote or at any Claranet UK office - most people choose a combination of the two. We’ve worked hard to create a remote-friendly culture and believe you can have a big impact no matter where you live.

As one of the Team Leaders of this Practice, your main role is to support a team of Cloud engineers responsible for delivery. You’ll drive decision-making in the team and help define, shape and improve how the team works. It is expected that you’ll be an experienced engineer, involved in the delivery of large customer projects and supporting the development of the team to meet the objectives of the Practice.

Essential duties & responsibilities
- Helping to mentor other members of the team and raise the general skill level
- Providing escalation assistance to the support team
- Developing and tracking training plans for the team
- Designing and building customer solutions
- Taking ownership of large customer projects and ensuring timely delivery
- Keeping abreast of new technologies and changes in the industry
