About The Role

The Business Operations Analyst will be supporting the facilitation of a successful modern workplace, driving transformation, efficiency and the execution of strategic priorities and initiatives for the overall Business Unit and across Business Units.

The Business Operations Analyst will be a self-starter with a passion for data analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement along with a desire and aptitude to learn new skills, software and apps. Working closely with the Business Operations Manager to enable high performance whilst ensuring the Business Unit operates in line with its own and the wider company’s strategic goals and growth plans.

This is an incredibly varied role, combining business analysis, data analysis, business reporting and process analysis, presenting the results and outcomes, with recommendations where possible, in a meaningful form to enable actionable insight, key business decisions and continuous improvement.   

An energised, results driven individual is needed who is eager to learn and develop new skills. An ability to pay attention to detail, communicate effectively and be highly organised is also needed. Supporting the provision of insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal reporting and communication. Also to scrutinise information using data analysis tools where possible to analysis and identify various facts and trends and communicate them clearly.

The Key Responsibilities of the role are:

  • Provide key support to the Business Operations Manager, Business Unit Director and the wider Business Unit Senior Management team, supporting the collation of business analysis, highlighting of concern points, deriving positive recommendations and driving operational efficiency, to improve overall performance across all aspects of the Business Unit.
  • Support the collation and contextualisation of the Business Unit operational performance information and analytics, preparing and delivering reports and data driven insight, enabling the Business Unit to successfully communicate its strategy, report progress and measure its outcomes achieving long-term customer success and Business Unit growth
  • Collect and cleanse data, transforming it into a presentable format for all teams to use. 
  • Provide management information to Senior leaders and relevant audience
  • Strong usage of Excel including formulas, pivot tables and macro's
  • Everyday use of and evangelisation of Microsoft 365 tools and Apps embracing Modern Workplace and collaboration tools 
  • Proactive, regular communication with colleagues at all levels across the business, understanding challenges, gathering requirements and effectively documenting them including mapping of processes to identify continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities
  • Embrace variation, change and growth within the role.
  • Support the implementation of methodologies and processes to gather and collate data systematically across the Business Unit.

About You

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a role with similar skillset within a leading IT Services company or similar.
  • Able to demonstrate the use of analytical skills to resolve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels across the business.
  • Data driven and analytical demonstrating the understanding of how to derive actionable insight.
  • Proactive, flexible and organised approach.
  • Sound knowledge of excel, including formulas, pivot table and macro’s.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Desirable but not essential, usage of Microsoft Power Apps along with a desire to continually learn and possibly learn as much as possible to use and help educate on usage of Power Apps.
  • Previous experience with Power BI and/or other central data systems is desirable but not essential.
