About The Role

The Finance Manager (India) shall be responsible for maintaining the accounting records for Claranet India and calculating accurate and timely recharges of the costs of Claranet India teams to Claranet Group entities.

They should be able to demonstrate a commitment to the values and aims of Claranet, and offer the experience, professionalism, energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to contribute to the overall success of the company.

Reporting Line

The Finance Manager India shall report for line management purposes to the Country Manager India. In addition, they will report on a functional basis to the Group Finance Business Partner for India at Claranet Group.

Main Responsibilities

Claranet India

  • Supervising the outsourced accounting and payroll functions by day to day liaison with Claranet India’s financial advisors Nexdigm and examination of the financial and management accounts they produce for Claranet India.
  • Providing complete and timely accounting inputs (tax invoices, expense claims and calculated prepayments and accruals) to Nexdigm to support their service.
  • Coordinating monthly payroll inputs in consultation with Claranet HR staff and management; and providing these to the Nexdigm payroll team in a timely manner.
  • Responding to payroll queries from Claranet India staff in consultation with Claranet HR and the Nexdigm payroll team.
  • Preparation of vendor payments and payroll on HSBCnet for approval by the [Group Finance Business Partner].
  • In consultation with Claranet India’s management, reviewing Claranet India’s financial policies, controls and procedures to ensure they are robust, compliant with local law and practical to operate.
Recharges
  • Calculating each Claranet entity’s share of the recharge value for Claranet India staffs
  • Preparing the recharge invoices for the relevant countries in a prescribed format.
  • Providing back up information to the countries for the recharge calculations.
  • Preparing budgets for recharges and providing the detail so they correspond in the country budgets.
  • Preparing monthly reports that show performance of costs and recharges compared to the approved budget.

About You

Candidates must be thoroughly familiar with financial management and financial compliance issues in the India context.  They should have worked in an accounts payable or a payroll role, and have recent experience of recharge administration and preparing reporting. 

They will have an excellent command of Microsoft Excel and enjoy problem solving and working under pressure to meet deadlines as part of a team. They must also be resourceful, organised.  

Experience of Microsoft F&O and Prophix would be beneficial but not essential. 

The post is based in Hyderabad. Travel within India and globally may be necessary and flexibility is required to meet the demands of the post. The post holder may be reasonably required to work from any Claranet location at any time.
