About The Role

The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for continually improving the team’s campaign execution, reporting and analysis. As a digital marketing expert, you will also use your extensive knowledge to increase the quantity and quality of customer and prospect engagement through all digital channels. Through a methodical and data-driven approach to solving daily marketing challenges you will have a genuine passion for marketing and operational excellence.

In particular, you will be focused on how a structured process and a solid data foundation can drive improvements to integrated marketing campaign execution. You will tailor systems, create and improve processes to streamline execution of marketing initiatives and the production process, working closely with Marketing Business Partners and Communications, Brand and Web Teams. You will have a background of working in a B2B marketing team and experience of executing innovative, integrated marketing campaigns utilising Salesforce/Pardot and optimising engagement and conversion using AB Testing.

Planning and measurement

  • Work alongside Marketing Business Partner colleagues to set ‘SMART’ objectives for all activity. You will build out digital campaigns and ensure that the appropriate measures are put in place to report progress.
  • Develop and deliver campaigns inhouse and with agencies. Own the onboarding of new marketing suppliers and the marketing purchase order process.

    Data management
  • Own the customer and prospect data for the Marketing team
    • Create, maintain and manage datasets that can be utilised by the marketing and sales function for campaign use. Enable self-service.
    • Fulfil ad-hoc requests for specific data cuts
  • Establish and manage processes to ensure GDPR data compliance including 3rd party data expiration and effective unsubscribe processing.

    Reporting and analysis

  • Design and implement marketing performance measurement system covering both an Account Based Marketing approach (Coverage, Awareness, Engagement, Reach and Influence) and traditional lead generation
  • Measure the efficiency and the effectiveness of all marketing activities via Salesforce and digital marketing tools (Salesforce, Salesforce Pardot, Google Analytics, Uberflip)
  • Ensure that relevant customer insights are used to direct future marketing activity
  • Represent marketing operations at senior level forums and meetings
  • Provide insights on the performance of all UK Claranet websites and US/NSS security sites.

Technology and automation

  • You will be the main administrator for Salesforce Pardot Marketing Automation and be responsible for driving best practice.
  • Central to the function is the effective use of technology. You will keep up to date with the latest marketing technology solutions and recommend improvements, building business cases and sharing best practice in the Group.
Continuous improvement
  • Produce analysis of marketing results.
  • Continually test, ensure lessons are learned and improvement actions taken after each campaign
  • Continually look to improve Marketing processes and campaign effectiveness.
  • Build out the inhouse vs. agency operating model to ensure the best deployment of resources to meet Business Unit goals.

About You

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of managing digital campaigns in a B2B marketing environment
  • Commercially aware and ambitious
  • Process driven and a commitment to setting an example of best working practice
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects while remaining flexible and agile
  • Able to act under pressure managing campaigns across a range of integrated activities
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent campaign and data management skills
  • Extensive experience of developing and exploiting salesforce, marketing automation and google analytics marketing tools
  • Experience of working with 3rd party marketing agencies in the execution of campaigns
  • Relevant degree or marketing qualification
  • High degree of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Previous work experience in the IT or communications industry.
  • A team player with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan effectively
  • Strong analytical skills along with a keen attention to detail.
