About The Role

The developer is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, deploying, supporting and maintaining software applications and components to the satisfaction of both Claranet and the needs of its customers. This includes working with our internal teams to develop specifications and requirements for these systems.

The successful applicant would be an individual who demonstrates pride and passion for their work and who is willing to learn and use relevant technologies to provide the best possible solutions to our customers.

We are able to consider a range of experience, but we are ideally looking for knowledge of Object-Oriented principles and techniques. Our projects involve Angular, so we require candidates to have experience with Angular as well as responsive design principles such as flexbox and exposure to Google Material Design and its ethos.

The Managed Security Services practice currently supports two services. Managed Detection and Response, and Continuous Security Testing. Scalability of these services is crucial. To achieve our goals, we have identified a need for tools to be developed in-house for both current services and then any additional requirements as our practice evolves.

Your role in supporting these services will include:

  • Development of new web applications and associated client services
  • Maintenance and improvement of existing systems
  • Delivery of projects and new features according to defined deadlines and quality requirements
  • Write and review supporting technical documentation
  • Participate in specification and code reviews, working closely with developers to ensure high quality of all team deliverables
  • Work as part of a small team and successfully manage your own tasks according to the larger needs of the business
  • Always communicate in a friendly and professional manner with colleagues.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model and an exposure to isomorphic JavaScript

About You


  • Exposure and understanding of HTML & CSS is paramount
  • Familiarity with Google Material Design
  • Experience with responsive design (flexbox, CSS grid layout)
  • Experience in Angular and TypeScript
  • Experience with reactive programming with state management (RxJS/NgRx)
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design
  • Exposure to modern authentication mechanisms, specifically JWT and OAuth2 PKCE
  • Exposure to frontend pipeline tools (ng-cli, Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc)
  • Experience with CSS and pre-processor scripting languages used in expressing style (SASS, LESS, Stylus, etc.)
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of taking UX designs and turning it into a functional application


  • Experience of building responsive user interfaces that look and behave appropriately on desktop as well as mobile devices, including touch adaptive interfaces
  • Basic knowledge of static analysis tools for Angular applications
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Experience of building responsive user interfaces that look and behave appropriately on desktop as well as mobile devices, including touch adaptive interfaces
  • Basic knowledge of static analysis tools for Angular applications
  • Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices
  • Strong awareness in software development processes – understand what it means to develop good quality software apart from writing code
  • Basic knowledge of Git
  • Ability to travel to the other European countries within the Claranet Group as required.
