About The Role

As a designer you’d be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, supporting and maintaining software applications and components to the satisfaction of both Claranet and the needs of its customers. This includes working with our internal teams to develop specifications and requirements for these systems.

The successful applicant would be an individual who demonstrates pride and passion for their work and who is willing to learn and use relevant technologies to provide the best possible solutions to our customers.

We can consider a range of experience, but we are ideally looking for experience in prototyping and creating mock-ups that translate well into mark-up languages – specifically HTML & CSS. Our projects involve Angular, so we require candidates to have experience with Angular as well as responsive design principles such as flexbox and exposure to Google Material Design and its ethos.

The ideal candidate can not only design a clean and intuitive application but also aid developers with the implementation - from explaining their vision clearly to porting it to a HTML template kit.

Please include a portfolio, preferably online, of your web projects or other design work.

The Managed Security Services practice currently supports two services. Managed Detection and Response, and Continuous Security Testing. Scalability of these services is crucial. To achieve our goals, we have identified a need for tools to be developed in-house for both current services and then any additional requirements as our practice evolves.

Your role in supporting these services will include:

  • Design for data driven reporting products as well as development of a design-system
  • Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets
  • Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for our products
  • Producing high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps and prototypes
  • Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs and widgets
  • Collaborating with the stakeholders, internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for our users
