About The Role

This is a combined role, primarily a Business Analyst, but also looking for candidates who hold experience as a Project Manager.

To elicit requirements for new business solutions or improvements to existing systems and guide their delivery.

  • Capture and document requirements for system/feature specifications and/or process improvements
  • Support integration of new businesses as needed
  • Country advocate in GIS/GE for one or more Claranet countries
  • GST technical specialist for one or more GIS/Group Engineering (GE) applications/technologies
  • Engage with business users and stakeholders from Claranet group companies to establish needs, document requirements, analyse and propose solutions
  • Prepare project documents including project initiation documents, requirements lists, scope, project plans etc.
  • From sign-off, manage projects to completion, leveraging both internal and external resources and ensuring stakeholder engagement
  • Create test scenarios for unit, functional and user testing
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to management
  • Be the advocate of their assigned country(ies) within GIS/GE, and, reflexively, be the advocate of GIS/GE within their assigned country(ies)
  • Support the appropriate GIS/GE team(s) for their technical specialism(s) to support adoption across the Claranet Group of that platform/technology, according to the Claranet Group Systems Strategy
  • Contribute to the strategic development of process, business and domain data models for the Claranet Group

About You

  Essential Experience 
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, process mapping and project management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of requirements capture and management methodologies
  • Demonstration of using analytical skills to resolve business problems
  • Business analysis skills and ability to talk to internal customers to gather business requirements, understand challenges and effectively document them in so that they are understood by the Business and developers and/or external suppliers
  • Working understanding of relational database concepts, ETL, BI tools and data presentation
  • A good working business and/or technical knowledge of at least one of the following platforms/technologies:
    • ServiceNow
    • Salesforce
    • Customer Portal
    • Billing/Invoicing Platform
    • Application Integration

  • Ability to work effectively in high pressure situations
  • Ability to communicate and convey ideas clearly with team members including developers and people external to the team who will have differing levels of technical knowledge and experience
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships
  • Good verbal and written communications skills

  • Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities and styles
  • Some travel may be required (up to 4 days per month) within the UK and other European sites
  • Understanding of Service Provider technologies such as IP, MPLS, virtualisation, web hosting an advantage
  • Previous experience in IT managed service provider, telecommunications technology or similar business environment
  • Experience of development in a variety of practices such as Agile, XP, DevOps
  • Experience of UML modelling for sequence diagrams and class definitions
  • Use of BPMN 2.0 or other process modelling notation
  • Any European language skills an advantage
Useful Qualifications 
  • BCS Business Analysis Certification preferred
  • Experience of using Prince II or other formal project methodology.
  • Prince II Certification desired
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4
