About The Role

The Marketing teams goal is to educate and deepen relationships with customers, prospects, partners, analysts, journalists, influencers and colleagues - to ultimately drive lead generation and sales pipeline growth and acceleration. We do this through close collaboration particularly with Sales and HR teams, but also across all business units and the wider Claranet Group.

Essential duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will build on the recently developed content strategy. By using your content development skills, you will deliver content programmes that increase traffic and engagement, and deliver marketing qualified leads. You will also help continually improve internal communications.

The successful candidate will be an experienced collaborator working across Claranet departments and closely with partners.

Content Marketing

  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: to create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimise the path to conversion. The audience will be external and internal.
  • Responsible for content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention.
  • A busy editorial calendar must be developed and managed.
  • You will collaborate across business units, practices, and functions to deliver an editorial plan to support the content strategy and meet business objectives.
  • Editorial requirements include copy editing, optimising, content categorisation and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement. All content needs to be consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone.
  • Management of creative resources including designers, writers, and other agency personnel

Channel Management

  • Channel management of digital content hubs, websites, and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution. The successful candidate will understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook etc), which content and approaches work on each and why

Measurement and Optimisation

  • Measurement and optimisation of the programme will be required on a regular and ongoing basis

About You

Essential

  • Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Ability to analyse and present content and social performance
  • Experience with the top social channels
  • Project management skills and an understanding about how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in any of the following technology fields: Managed Services, Cloud Computing, SaaS, Virtualisation, hosting, telephony and networking
  • A strong understanding of Claranet’s target markets and the range of products available to our customers
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills and a passion for writing
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Creative and innovative approach and proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals including colleagues in technical, operations and sales teams.
  • High levels of initiative, drive and self-motivated
  • Experienced in supporting sales processes and working with senior sales professionals
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and fluid environment.
