About The Role

The Consultancy Practice within Claranet Cyber Security is a dynamic, fast-moving department delivering a range of professional services, both onsite and remotely, from ethical hacking to auditing.

In order to manage resources in the most efficient way and provide the necessary visibility and reporting, Project Managers are required to gather and organise information, shape and schedule engagements and activities and work closely with other departments from sales to finance to ensure a seamless client experience.

Claranet Cyber Security has a vacancy for a Junior Project Coordinator to join us and work alongside the Project Coordinator, learning all aspects of the role from scheduling to system management and reporting.

Essential duties & responsibilities 

Assisting the Project Coordinator and Practice Lead in meeting KPIs such as chargeable utilisation 
Working with Account Managers to identify appropriate technical resources for proposals at bid stage
Ensuring that engagements are built and managed correctly within the Professional Services Automation system
Applying the right resourcing model for each engagement by assigning resources with the required skills, qualifications and experience scheduled within a time frame agreed with the customer
Ensuring that the chargeable utilisation of technical resources is maximised in line with the business KPIs
Accurately forecasting and reporting future demand for consultancy engagements
Working with the Technical Operations Manager to schedule and manage non-chargeable activities (training, research & development)
Working with financial analysts to produce reports on key business information (e.g. monthly Work In Progress reports, time spent on Research & Development)
Accurately understanding the skills matrix used to select the most appropriate consultant for the client engagement based on capability, qualification and geography 
Providing analysis on the key skills needed for each engagement to report on overall demand for certain skills types

About You


Good numeracy and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail 
Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and manage workload
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) 
Ability to quickly learn and understand terminology and processes specific to the Cyber Security industry

In addition, the following are highly desirable:

Experience of a similar role in an organisation that provides Professional Services
Ideally experienced in the IT services industry
Experience of using a scheduling and project management system
Scheduling experience
